DEENLY - PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated June 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Deenly ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Deenly mobile application and related services (the "Service"). We've written this policy to be plain and complete. If anything is unclear, email DeenlySupport@gmail.com and we'll explain.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect only what we need to deliver the Service. The categories of information we collect are:
- Account information: when you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name (if provided), an email address, and a unique user identifier. With Sign in with Apple, you may choose to hide your email and we will receive Apple's private relay address instead.
- Onboarding profile: name, age range, gender, prayer journey details, current struggles, and goals - provided by you so we can personalize the Service.
- Prayer activity: prayers you log, streaks, completion times, and your selected prayer reminder settings.
- Location: with your permission, your approximate device location, used to calculate accurate prayer times. Location is processed on-device or sent to our servers only when needed and is not used for advertising or sold to anyone.
- Push notification token: a device token used to send you prayer reminders and accountability notifications.
- App-block selections (optional): if you use the app-blocking feature, your selections are stored on-device via Apple's Family Controls framework. We do not see which apps you choose to block.
- Group information: if you create or join an accountability group, we store the group's name, members, and your activity within the group.
- Device and diagnostic data: limited technical information such as device model, iOS version, app version, time zone, and crash logs, used to keep the Service stable.
- Subscription status: whether you have an active subscription, the plan, and trial status. Apple processes payments; we never see your full payment card details.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use information to:
- Provide and personalize the Service (prayer times, reminders, streak tracking, accountability features).
- Send notifications you've opted in to receive.
- Sync your data across your devices when you're signed in.
- Manage subscriptions, free trials, and entitlements.
- Communicate with you about the Service, including support and important updates.
- Diagnose problems, improve performance, and develop new features.
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms.
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. LEGAL BASES FOR PROCESSING
Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, we process your information based on one or more of the following legal bases: your consent (for example, for notifications and location); performance of a contract with you (to deliver the Service you signed up for); our legitimate interests (such as keeping the Service secure and improving it); and to comply with legal obligations.
4. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the third parties needed to operate the Service:
- Apple - for Sign in with Apple, push notifications via Apple Push Notification service, and App Store subscription processing.
- Google - for Sign in with Google authentication.
- RevenueCat - for managing in-app subscriptions, trials, and entitlements.
- Supabase - for secure cloud storage and sync of your account, profile, prayer activity, and group data.
- Service providers that help us operate, such as crash reporting and analytics tooling, when used, and only the minimum data necessary for that purpose.
- Other group members - limited information you choose to share within an accountability group (such as your display name and prayer activity) is visible to other members of that group.
- Authorities or legal counsel - when required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Deenly, our users, or the public.
5. WHERE INFORMATION IS STORED
Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure operated by our third-party providers. These providers may store data in the United States or other countries. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries that may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.
6. SECURITY
We use industry-standard security measures - including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted authentication tokens, access controls, and least-privilege practices - to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that materially affects you, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
7. DATA RETENTION
We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as long as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Diagnostic logs are retained for a short period and are then automatically purged.
8. YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access - request a copy of the information we hold about you.
- Correction - ask us to fix inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion - request that we delete your information.
- Portability - request a machine-readable copy of your information.
- Objection or restriction - object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent - withdraw any consent you previously gave at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at DeenlySupport@gmail.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority in your jurisdiction.
9. ACCOUNT DELETION
You can delete your Deenly account at any time from within the app's Settings. Deletion removes your profile, prayer activity, group memberships, and personal data from our active systems. Some information may persist in backup systems for a limited time before being permanently erased, and we may retain limited information as required by law or to prevent fraud.
10. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at DeenlySupport@gmail.com.
11. CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and share; to request deletion of your personal information; to correct inaccurate personal information; and to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise these rights, contact DeenlySupport@gmail.com.
12. EUROPEAN AND UK RESIDENTS (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the rights described in Section 8 above, and you may contact us at DeenlySupport@gmail.com for any requests or questions. The data controller is Deenly. Where we transfer your data outside your country, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
13. COOKIES AND TRACKING
The Service is a native mobile app and does not use browser cookies. We do not engage in cross-app tracking for advertising and do not request App Tracking Transparency permission, because we do not share your information with data brokers or use it for third-party advertising.
14. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you within the Service or by other reasonable means and will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy. Your continued use of the Service after the updated policy takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
15. CONTACT US
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your information, please email us at DeenlySupport@gmail.com. We're a small team and we read every message.
