DEENLY - TERMS OF USE

Welcome to Deenly. These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Deenly ("we," "us," or "our") and govern your use of the Deenly mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. ABOUT THE SERVICE
Deenly is a mobile application designed to help Muslims stay consistent with their daily prayers (Salah). The Service provides features including, but not limited to, accurate prayer times based on your device location, prayer logging and streak tracking, personalized reminders, optional app-blocking during prayer windows, community accountability groups, and educational content.
Some features of the Service are free. Other features ("Premium Features") require a paid subscription. The set of features offered as Premium may change from time to time at our discretion.
2. ELIGIBILITY
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are between 13 and the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
3. YOUR ACCOUNT
You may sign in to the Service using Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at DeenlySupport@gmail.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account and to keep that information up to date.
4. SUBSCRIPTIONS, FREE TRIAL, AND AUTO-RENEWAL
The Service offers auto-renewing subscriptions that unlock Premium Features. Subscription plans, prices, and durations are shown clearly within the app before purchase. By starting a subscription you agree to the following terms, which are required by Apple for any auto-renewing subscription:
- Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- If a free trial is offered, your subscription will automatically begin (and the recurring fee will be charged) at the end of the trial period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
- Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price of the selected plan.
- You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal at any time by going to your iOS device's Settings > your name > Subscriptions, or by visiting the App Store and selecting Subscriptions.
- Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Current pricing is displayed inside the app and may be presented in your local currency. Pricing is subject to change; any changes will be communicated to you before they take effect and you will have the opportunity to cancel before being charged the new price.
5. CANCELLATION, RESTORE, AND REFUNDS
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID Subscriptions settings as described above. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will continue to have access to Premium Features until then.
If you have an active subscription on a different device tied to the same Apple ID, you can restore your purchase from within the Service. Apple manages all billing, so refund requests are handled by Apple under their refund policies. You can submit a refund request at reportaproblem.apple.com. Deenly does not directly process refunds for App Store purchases.
6. LICENSE GRANTED TO YOU
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Service on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, as governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
7. ACCEPTABLE USE
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise derive the source code of the Service.
- Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, our servers, or related infrastructure.
- Use the Service to harass, abuse, defame, or harm another person, including through community groups.
- Share, sell, or transfer your account to anyone else.
- Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our systems or networks.
8. COMMUNITY GROUPS
The Service includes optional accountability groups that allow you to connect with friends and family to encourage one another's prayer consistency. You are solely responsible for the content you share within groups. We reserve the right, but have no obligation, to monitor, remove, or restrict content or accounts that violate these Terms or that we determine, in our sole discretion, to be harmful, offensive, or inappropriate.
9. NOTIFICATIONS
With your permission, the Service sends push notifications for prayer time reminders, streak updates, accountability prompts from your groups, and important account events. You may disable notifications at any time in your iOS Settings. Some Service features depend on notifications and may not function correctly if notifications are disabled.
10. LOCATION AND APP-BLOCKING FEATURES
To calculate accurate prayer times, the Service requests access to your device location. You may decline this permission and manually set a location instead. The optional app-blocking feature relies on Apple's Screen Time / Family Controls framework and runs entirely on your device; Deenly does not see which apps you choose to block or for how long.
11. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The Service, including its design, text, graphics, images, audio, code, and all other content (excluding user-submitted content), is owned by Deenly or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works based on the Service without our prior written consent.
12. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
The Service uses third-party providers to operate, including Apple (App Store, Sign in with Apple, Push Notifications), Google (Sign in with Google), RevenueCat (subscription management), and Supabase (cloud data storage and sync). Your use of those third-party services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Deenly is not responsible for third-party services.
13. RELIGIOUS CONTENT
The Service provides prayer times, reminders, and educational content for personal, devotional use. Prayer times are calculated using standard astronomical methods and well-known calculation conventions; we strive for accuracy but make no warranty as to absolute precision. You are responsible for verifying prayer times with your local mosque or trusted scholarly source where required.
14. DISCLAIMERS
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY OR COMPLETENESS OF ANY CONTENT, INCLUDING PRAYER TIMES, AND YOU USE THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION AND RISK.
15. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DEENLY AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR USD $50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
16. INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Deenly, its affiliates, and their respective officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or any law.
17. TERMINATION
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account from within the app. Provisions intended to survive termination - including disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and governing law - will survive.
18. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you within the Service or by other reasonable means and will update the "Last updated" date at the top of these Terms. Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
19. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTES
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You and Deenly agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights as a consumer where such rights cannot be waived under applicable law.
20. APPLE-SPECIFIC TERMS
You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Deenly only, and not with Apple Inc. Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the Service. In the event of any failure of the Service to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the Service. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
