You might wonder what is our business model! Is it sustainable? You are right to think so.

The costs of data storage, computation have become affordable. And we can afford those costs. Almost all the other online services try to monetize user data in exchange of their services. We want to show that users will pay for services using real money instead of their privacy. But the service has to be a compelling one! And we are building one such service called DDN. We are in the Phase 1 of the service that we want to build in long run. And we can afford to deploy this phase; therefore we do not want to short our users' trust against online advertisements or by outrightly selling their profiles. In fact, we would like to prove to our user with our open design (privacy-by-design) approach. This should become amply convincing when we release the features in our later phases. In other words, we cannot leave this beautiful Earth and migrate to some other planet; so we better design things that are really useful and do not bite back. The feeling of not having privacy is a terrible one and we want to show that there are alternative ways to design systems. We are Engineers and we love to solve problems!
