Orlando Rehabilitation Hospital is part of Nobis Rehabilitation Partners Network of In-Patient Rehabilitation Hospital is a national leader in rehabilitative care including physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language pathology for stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury and other complex neurological and orthopedic conditions.
I currently manage admissions for the weekend team. I am the only full-time nurse who works during these hours and oversees everything from clinical documentation and medication review to confirmation of benefits and the admission process. In this role I work closely with both the medical director and the house nursing supervisor to ensure continuity in the admission process which includes maintaining internal reports, interdisciplinary collaboration and staffing.
Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital group provides inpatient physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language pathology for strokes, brain injury, spinal cord injury and other complex neurological and orthopedic conditions.
As a Clinical Liaison, I work directly with patients, families, and providers to educate and connect them with the highest level of rehabilitative care. This role requires medical history and record review, interdisciplinary collaboration and a strong clinical knowledge of medical conditions and rehabilitative therapies.
OCD Jacksonville is an affiliate of the International OCD Foundation and a not-for-profit agency with a mission to help you and your family find effective treatment and support. As a public service organization, we seek to educate and inform mental health professionals and Jacksonville community about OCD and its related disorders. We serve the communities located in North and Central Florida as well as South Georgia.
As a serving board member and director, my role, is to assist in the development of operational direction and secure funding for our programs and services through collaboration with community partners and coordination of fundraising activities.
As the clinical team manager for the float pool, I oversaw a staff of approximately 25 full time and part time interdisciplinary clinicians whose role was to support the program 20 district in five counties. This role included hiring, scheduling, resource allocation, payroll, and auditing.
As the manager of the Intensive Continuous Care team, I oversaw a staff of approximately 40 multidisciplinary clinicians and as well as 10 to 20 contractors. My responsibilities included interviewing, hiring, staff and case scheduling, payroll, balancing skill mix ratios, monitoring internal and corporate metrics, licensure statuses and education.
In September 2018 I as tasked with starting a new clinical team to meet the needs of an expanding census. As a clinical manager over a facility team, I was responsible for coordinating care for clients who were predominately located in assisted living and skilled nursing facilities. My staff included nurses, certified nursing assistants, chaplains, and social workers. Responsibilities included hiring, scheduling, payroll, budgeting, running a weekly interdisciplinary care team planning meeting, clinical precepting, educating, and medical chart review. I also worked directly with the medical director at this time to revise and create new policies for recertification period documentation.
As an RN case manager, my primary role, was to conduct assessments, and manage plans of care. Other competencies included wound care, medication review, nursing diagnoses and inter-professional collaboration. Additionally, I met regularly with physicians and facility administrators to identify areas of needs and helped to cultivate collaborative partnerships in the community.
Intensive care nurse in Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, and Intermediate Critical Care Units. Responsibilities include ventilators, high flow oxygen delivery, arterial lines, medication titration, medication administration, wound care, drain care, foley and peripheral line insertion.
