Chetan Kandpal

Chetan survived his B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering from SRM University where he fell in love with exploring multiple aspects of CS, jumping from WebDev to QuantFinance to DeepLearning. Basically, a breadth-first approach to life. From there onwards, he got interested in cognitive science (he finally settled on a depth-first approach) as he studied more about the brain and the mind, thus joining the Master's by Research in Cognitive Science program at IITK. Along this journey, he found an interest in decision-making and is working on the same in the lab. He is studying effort in foraging paradigms and the influence of cooperation with others on the same. Speaking of cooperation, he has also been trying to co-host a podcast about Cognition and presenting it briefly and introducing some fun interviews. You can catch it on Spotify under the name of Cog-Hz. He also loves cooking food and cooking up stories. You can find him doodling if he zones out. You can lure him with momos.
