Ashutosh Singh

Ashutosh Singh is a curious mind at the intersection of biology, behaviour, and computation. Trained in life sciences and bioinformatics, he is currently a Project Assistant at IIT Kanpur, where he studies the logic of animal behaviour through an operant-chamber-based foraging paradigm in mice. His work combines behavioural experiments, quantitative analysis, and computational approaches to explore learning, reward, motivation, and adaptive decision-making. Previously, he investigated the molecular landscape of ferroptosis-associated genes across the human brain using transcriptomic and neuroinformatics approaches. His broader interests span neuroethology, computational neuroscience, bioinformatics, microbiology, and molecular biology. He enjoys turning complex biological questions into data-driven experiments and occasionally turning biological ideas into computational tools.
