# Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how **Video to MP3 Converter** handles information when you use the app.
## 1. What data the app accesses
The app may access the following on your device, depending on the feature you use:
- Video files and audio files that you choose to open, convert, trim, merge, or compress.
- Notification permission, if you allow it, so the app can show conversion progress and completion notifications.
- System sound settings, only when you use the Set Ringtone feature.
## 2. How your files are used
Your media files are used only to provide the features of the app, such as converting, trimming, merging, compressing, changing speed, or setting a ringtone.
Media processing is performed **on your device**. Your selected files are not uploaded to our servers by the current version of the app.
## 3. Data collection and sharing
The app does **not** collect your media files, file contents, or personal media library on a remote server for conversion.
The app may collect limited technical crash diagnostics through **Firebase Crashlytics** to help identify app crashes and improve stability. This may include device model, operating system version, app version, and crash stack traces. It is not used to sell your personal data.
The app also does **not** sell your personal data.
Files may only be shared externally when **you explicitly choose** to use Android system actions such as Share, Open with, or Set as.
## 4. Permissions
- **READ_MEDIA_VIDEO / READ_MEDIA_AUDIO / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE**: used to let you select and process local media files.
- **POST_NOTIFICATIONS**: used to show conversion progress and completion notifications.
- **WRITE_SETTINGS**: used only when you choose to set a ringtone, notification sound, or alarm sound.
- **FOREGROUND_SERVICE / FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PROCESSING**: used so long-running media conversions can continue reliably in the background.
## 5. Output files
Files created by the app are saved locally on your device, typically inside the app’s default output folders under **/Music/VideoToMp3/** and **/Movies/VideoToMp3/**.
## 6. Children’s privacy
The app is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
## 7. Security
Because processing is local in the current version, your media generally stays on your device unless you choose to share it. Even so, you should protect your device with the security methods available to you.
## 8. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if the app’s features, permissions, or data practices change. If that happens, the updated policy should be published together with the updated app.
