Please note: You cannot transport a client in your personal vehicle unless your insurance policy includes the proper 6A coverage.
In Ontario, the 6A endorsement — also called the “Business Use of Vehicle” coverage — is required for Personal Support Workers (PSWs) and Caregivers who drive clients as part of their job.
To obtain this coverage, please contact your insurance provider and ask about adding the 6A endorsement to your policy.
You will need to provide proof of this coverage to our office before you are permitted to drive clients in your personal vehicle.
