Class Duration: 6 hours, split into 3 2-hour sessions

Class Size: 14 maximum

Silk Painting Intensive is an in depth introduction to silk painting. In the first session, students will stretch silk, transfer a design, and mix and apply gutta resist. In the second session, we will mix custom silk paints and apply them to the painting. In the third session, we will prepare the paintings for steaming. 

Students will leave with a completed painting and the project packet for future reference.

Leatherwork Intensive is an indepth introduction to traditional leatherwork techniques through making a functional pouch. During the first session, students will learn how to transfer designs to the leather surface, and then carve/tool the design. In the second session, we'll dye and seal our leather pieces. In the third session, we'll learn saddle stitching to assemble our pouch, learn riveting to attach a swing clasp, and add a decorative edge lacing. 

Students will leave with a completed pouch and the project packet for future reference. 

Class Duration: 4 hours, split into 2 2-hour sessions

Class Size: 15 maximum

Introduction to Leather tooling will introduce students to the basics of leather carving. In session 1, students will transfer a design to leather, learn to use a swivel knife, and use numerous stamping tools. In session 2, students will dye and finish the leather surface. 

Students will leave with a completed leather bracer and the project packet. 

Class Duration: 1 3-hour session

Class Size: 30 maximum

Introduction to Silk Embroidery will familiarize student with 5 different hand embroidery stitches. Over a three hour session, students will sample all five of the major stitches and have class time to work on their piece. Students will leave with an in-progress embroidery and the materials to finish the design.
