Brief Bio

Hi, I am currently a Senior Research Fellow at the Department of Mathematics, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, India.

I work on the application and development of Machine Learning and Deep Learning models in the field of Natural Language Processing (NLP) under the supervision of Prof. Adrijit Goswami (Dept. of Mathematics, IIT Kharagpur) and Prof. Saptarshi Ghosh (Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Kharagpur). My primary research interests are NLP in Indian Languages for Legal and Social Media domains.

Currently, I am working on the following topics: 

• Multilingual and Cross-lingual Summarization of Indian Legal Documents

• Investigating hallucination in Large Language Models (LLMs) for low-resource languages

• Translation in the Indian Legal Domain

• Legal Text Simplification

• Disaster Informatics in the Social Media domain
