Audience:
The target audience is college-educated women and men who have retired from their jobs. They may have experienced taking care of their cat, but are not following the proper protocol when taking care of the cats.
Business Problem:
Customers are complaining about the mess and smell coming from cats' living space.
Solution:
Adoptions would increase 25% due to volunteers following proper protocol to take care of the cats.
Highlights:
This course features a scenario with an accordian and tab interaction, interactive knowledge checks with instant feedback, and a final scenario-based assessment.
Process:
I utilized the ADDIE model and adult learning theory principles to design and develop this training. The process started with collaboration with subject matter experts and stakeholders to pinpoint key improvement areas and identify the most effective strategies to meet these needs.
Next, I created a design document to map out the course and thoughtfully structured it to maximize engagement and facilitate effective knowledge transfer.
These concepts were brought to life in Articulate Rise 360 using interactive features like click-to-reveal and accordion menus to boost learner engagement.
To help learners apply and master the new knowledge in real-world situations, I also developed a thorough job aid.
Evaluation:
Level 2 Assessment:
Throughout each section of the course, learners will encounter ungraded knowledge checks, providing them with immediate feedback on their responses.
At the conclusion of the course, learners will take a final graded quiz made up of 5 scenario-based multiple choice/multiple response questions. To pass, they must answer at least 4 questions correctly (80%). Immediate feedback is provided after each question, and learners can retake the quiz as many times as needed.
Level 3 Assessment:
Observe volunteers 3 months after training to assess to what extent behavior has changed using a checklist.
After 3 months, check if the adoption rate has improved and meet with volunteers to assess performance.

Audience:
This audience consists of college-educated men and women who are retired professionals. They often have prior experience caring for their own dogs.
Business Problem:
A local animal shelter has dogs waiting to be adopted. Volunteers are not able to answer customers' questions and give correct information to potential dog adopters.
Solution:
The goal is to increase dog adoptions by 25%. This training will give the volunteers a framework to best help potential adopters.
Highlights:
This course features a scenario, narrated content, interactive knowledge checks with instant feedback, and a final scenario-based assessment.
Process:
I used a structured approach to develop this course, starting with a needs analysis. Once the needs analysis was complete, I developed clear, measurable objectives to guide the design and ensure the course achieved its intended outcomes.
In the design phase, I created a design document to outline the course structure and a storyboard to plan out each slide, including dialogue and animations.
These concepts were brought to life in Articulate Storyline 360, using interactive features like click-to-reveal and accordion menus to boost learner engagement.
To help learners apply and master the new knowledge in real-world situations, I also developed a thorough job aid.
Evaluation:
Level 2 Assessment:
Learners will engage in ungraded knowledge checks after the first two sections of the course, including a multiple-response question and a matching drag-and-drop activity. They will receive instant feedback on their answers.
At the end of the course, learners will complete a final graded assessment. This quiz will consist of 5 scenario-based multiple choice/multiple response questions, requiring 4 correct answers (80%) to pass. Learners can retake the quiz as many times as needed, and they will have the opportunity to review their correct and incorrect responses after each attempt.
Level 3 Assessment:
Conduct a 3-month post-training observation of volunteers using a performance checklist to evaluate behavior changes, adoption rates, and overall effectiveness.
