Research Team

Sreeja Patra has completed her PhD in May, 2025. She is currently a State Aided College Teacher at S.A. Jaipuria College, University of Calcutta, Kolkata, where she teaches courses on development economics, macroeconomics, and Indian financial systems. She completed her PhD at St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata, focusing on vulnerabilities and livelihood strategies of the urban poor in India, with a special emphasis on Kolkata. Dr. Patra has presented her research at several national and international conferences and has published work on climate vulnerability, public provisions, and urban poverty. Her expertise lies in socio-economic analysis, policy research, and empirical methods, making her a strong advocate for sustainable urban development and resilience planning.

Vinayak Basavaraj Patil is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Economics at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Dharwad. He holds a B.E. degree in Civil Engineering from NIT Surathkal, Karnataka and an PG degree in Civil Engineering from Karnataka. His research interests lie in Energy Policy and Climate Change. His doctoral research focuses on Energy Transition and renewable energy. He has presented his research at several national and international conferences.
