Beginning with the 2022–2023 school year, STAAR assessments are administered primarily online.  Released test questions for      STAAR online assessments are available on the Practice Test Site. PDF versions of STAAR released tests are no longer available since STAAR is now an online assessment with technology enhanced items.

AP Exams 

Looking to get a head start on AP Exam success? The College Board has officially released sample AP exam questions! These released questions give students a clear understanding of the question formats, difficulty level, and the types of reasoning expected on the actual AP exam.

We encourage all AP students to explore these questions to sharpen their problem-solving skills and build confidence ahead of the exam. Reviewing released materials is one of the most effective ways to prepare and stay aligned with College Board expectations.

Graphing Calculators

At DeBakey High School, we primarily use the TI-Nspire calculator, which can be purchased through retailers like Amazon, Walmart, Target, Mirco Center, etc. in our math courses. We strongly recommend that each student have their own personal TI-Nspire calculator to support their learning - especially in AP-level classes, where frequent and advanced calculator use is essential for success.  Families can download the TI-84 Plus CE Graphing Calculator for a 90 day-free trial to serve your learning needs.
