The world of Ertta is an average, habitable planet essentially the same as Earth. It features, as the map shows, two major landmasses divided by a world-spanning ocean, divided in the Inner Ocean where Elandor is and the Outer Ocean on the sides of the map. Generally, the landmasses are separated in the West, with Gij-Tok and half of New Fedregalia, and the East, with Agelka, Roskonig and a part of New Fedregalia. Elandor is considered (mostly by elves) the world's center.
Be aware that the map here is only an approximation, for the sake of brevity. Smaller nations, thousands of islands and other civilizations live across the planet, even in the arctic regions. Only the five largest countries are represented here (the most detailed ones are collapsible for ease of reading).
New Fedregalia is a federal republic mostly made up of Humans and Halves, occupying the largest area of land by far. A bloated political system slows down the government's works, and a number of political parties battle for power, between human supremacists, socialists and others. The Armed Forces are in a near constant fight with roaming orc bands at the northern border with Gij-Tok, despite their comparably advanced technology: Federal Armed Forces have equipment comparable to 1970-1980 real life equipment.
Fedregalia is mainly divided in four states by area:
Sud Isola, the island to the south-west of Elandor, where the capital of Grimoria is,
Centràl, the smaller area just south of Gij-Tok,
West Insula, the protruding peninsula to the west of the map,
East Insula, the peninsula east of the map, east of Agelka.
Fedregalia, typically just called Fedral or Regalia, has one official language, Federal Common. A number of religions are prevalent in Fedral, from animistic faiths based on good karma to cults and extremist groups. People in Fedregalia, usually called Fedrals, like the nation, are mostly human, with a sizeable minority of Halves and some lesser races. They are, in most aspects, comparable to a normal human population, and it would take some effort, and some driving, to find ancient relics such as wizard towers, goblin camps or those who still speak old Common. Fedrals dress as we would: suits, dresses, tracksuits, shorts, t-shirts, the only real trend being a sort of appreciation for formal clothing, stemming from the nation's identity as a regal, formal country. Young rebellious teens take this as a challenge, of course. Fedral society is best described as tired. Its cuisine is simple and rarely spicy, its art is cautious and mostly decorative, its music is only exciting in fringe groups and genres.
By all accounts, New Fedregalia is not supposed to exist, and the aforementioned tiredness reflects it. Millennia ago, the area it covers now was ruled by a council of kings, an exorbitant number of dukes and barons, and an order of knights to keep the peace. The War slimmed the council down to one, and following some years of political stabilization, New Fedregalia (the New Regal Federation) was formed. That was around 1800 years ago. Few even remember the country's origins, and nowadays, Fedrals and other citizens simply try to survive and prosper in the constant chaos the world is enveloped by.
Gij-Tok is the ancestral land of the orc bands and war gangs, and there is no real government structure. The strongest prevails, and so any weakness by a leader is taken advantage of. There is no law, no military, no justice, only the law of the sword and the gun. Gij-Tok has no allies and no friends, only prey, and New Fedregalia, the "hairless monkeys" are the primary target of their incursions. Due to their lack of leadership, they have no real goal, and even when orcs manage to enter other nations, they typically slaughter a number of residents, then challenge the strongest to battle and die.
There are only orcs in Gij-Tok, pure orcs, and Halves are executed on sight. Orcs worship various gods, all associated with chaos and bloodshed, power, control and other similar ideals. Blood and sacrifices are the typical way through which faith is shown. Such rudimentary religion and government have slowed the progress of orc society, and the most advanced technology they possess is a low efficiency coal power plant, which mostly serves as a source of power for factories and weapons. Over time, orcs have managed to create armor and weapons generally comparable to 1800s muskets and cannons, and wear steel and iron armor as their daily clothing.
Gij-Tok is hardly an official nation, and its history mostly revolves around its endless conflict with other races and itself. Millennia of warlords and rulers killing the previous and taking their place, piles of corpses stacked under thrones, swords pooled by the thousands. Nowadays, the New Fedregalian army has managed to contain their slaughter, and the wrath has turned partially inward, causing sporadic civil wars between the bands and groups in Gij-Tok. There is no ruler, no king, only blood for the blood god.

⚠️It is important to note that the information presented here is partially speculation. ⚠️
Even the name, Elandor, is a rough translation from Elvish, and the flag is based on sightings by fishermen and sailors.
Elandor is the elven nation, and is seemingly controlled by a council of elders. There is no apparent military, but elf scouts are often reported in rural areas and small towns. Elvish is considered the official language, as is assumed, and elves typically are seen wearing slim, slick armor or clothes which stick to their form. Their rituals, religion, society and other details remain mostly unknown.
The only commonly held belief among all nations is to avoid Elandor at all costs.

Located on a large swathe of the south-eastern continent, Roskonig is a loose collective of human settlements and bands, constantly at war with each other. A king supposedly reigns, the King in Red, but such rule is questionable if not non-existent; some have posited that the constant internal warfare is not due to historical reasons explained below, but a specific, well-thought strategy to maintain control over the population. While it is common belief that there is no real Roskonig army, there is in fact, a large contingent of soldiers who have been identified as having a precise leadership structure, though the specifics are unknown.
Roskonig is mostly occupied by humans, as mentioned, but a number of Halves also inhabit it, together with other races and some orcs. Variants and dialects of Old Common are spoken, and no religion appears prevalent in the nation, though some small cults exist, based on war, spirits or similar. Daily life in Roskonig is based on survival, especially for the smaller towns, whereas larger cities host more normal life particularly in the center. This constant civil war stems from the nation's history as a warring state.
Millennia ago, Roskonig was a proper nation, with a monarchy, a capital, and all the features of a proper country. Following the War, and internal conflicts, however, the fragile peace in a nation mostly inhabited by a warrior spirit was easily broken. Since then, no stable government has been held, and the country, despite its relatively modern technology (mostly poached and stolen from Fedregalia), remains in constant strife and chaos.
Agelka is not a nation. Agelka is a religion with borders. Led by a loose group of religious leaders, Agelka thrives despite its plague. It has no army, no police, no government, no laws, for the only law is that of the atom.
Agelka speaks its own language, and is inhabited by humanoids, as far as is understood. Humans, Halves and possibly other races, but any defining features were morphed by the radiation. It has one religion, the worship of nuclear fission, of radiation and of the nuke, and this religion is singularly the most powerful force in Agelka. Inhabitants of this nation are always dressed in protective suits, not to keep radiation out, but to seal it in and feed off of it.
Years ago, Agelka was a fully developed state of New Fedregalia, where the nation's first nuclear power plant was built. When a human error caused the plant to go into meltdown, the radiation spilled uncontrolled across much of the area of Agelka, and it had a critical reaction with the minuscule amounts of magic particles in the air. Men, women, children, were mutated by the ambient radiation, devolving into vaguely humanoid forms: skeletal figures glowing bright blue, flesh slimes contained within suits, enormous golems of bone and sinew. Be it mass hysteria or psychedelic acceptance, the people affected did not flee from the plant, but instead flocked to it in adoration.
Nowadays, much of the effort of the East Insula of New Fedregalia is in containing the spread of radiation - and of Agelkans, eager to share their gift with the world.
