Lab Group

A chief scientist and professor in Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology, New Delhi.

Current Lab Students:

Tahseen Abbas

Senior Research Fellow (PhD)

Tahseen completed her Masters in Bioinformatics from Punjab University, Chandigarh. Her research interests includes population genomics & uncovering impact of genetic variations on phenotypic traits using high throughput omics datasets for integrative analysis. Her interest also includes learning about Machine learning approaches & their implementation in biological data. She uses R language for data analysis & visualization purpose.

Apart from doing Research she enjoys doing sketching & exploring new places.

Iti Gupta

Senior Research Fellow (PhD)

Iti expertise in understanding the genetics of Vitiligo disease using computational biology on Multi-omics datasets. She has developed an integrative resource called VitiVar (http://vitivar.igib.res.in/) that harbors the genetic information reported in literature on Vitiligo and also includes other skin specific transcriptomics datasets. Iti Gupta is a post graduate in Bioinformatics from Banaras Hindu University.

Anurag Raj

Senior Research Fellow (PhD)

Anurag has completed his M.Sc. in Bioinformatics at Pondicherry University. His research interests are directed towards methods development for identification and analysis of proteoforms in proteomic research. He believes and aims to continuously contribute to open-source tool development to benefit the research community and currently working on maintenance and upgradation of EuGenoSuite, a proteogenomics tool. Outside of research, he reads books and love to travel.

Prateek Singh

Senior Research Fellow (PhD)

Prateek has a Masters from IIIT, Delhi. He is interested in Artificial Intelligence and the possibilities it brings for humanity, especially in the field of Medicine and Medical Imaging. He strives to create and contribute to open-source software as much as possible using the programming experience he has in R and Python. He is currently working on the RAPID-CT project aiming to reduce turn-around time for Medical Imaging reports in emergency situations. In his personal time, Prateek loves to read and draw. His favourite pastime is listening to alternative music.
