Natural products have contributed significantly to the development of pharmaceuticals. Numerous novel secondary metabolites have been isolated in recent years from plants, marine organisms and bacteria. In our group, we combine the disciplines of chemistry and biology to discover novel secondary metabolites from Indonesian biodiversity (plants and marine organisms) and examine their ecological functions and mechanisms, as well as biomedical potential.
