DC's Readers Club is a peer group formed under the guidance of former Pathanamthitta District Collector and founder of DC Volunteers PB Nooh IAS for improving the reading skills of fellow readers. This group involves discussions on books, note making and sharing and online meet ups chaired by Sri PB Nooh IAS. The group is restricted to serious readers.
The official inauguration of DC's Readers Club was done on 20th December 2020 by former Pathanamthitta District Collector PB Nooh IAS. Members were given proper instructions and guidelines to build a quality reading habit. One of the member reviewed on the book Ente Kadha by Madhavikutty.
The second meet of the club was conducted on 12th June 2021, Saturday. Two books named Vishudha Papangalude India and Atomic Habits were reviewed in the meet. 2019 Kerala Sahitya Academy Awardee and the author of the book Vishudha Papangalude India and Sri. Arun Ezhuthachan joined the session and the club members had an interactive session with him. The meet had the esteemed presence of Sri. PB Nooh IAS.
The third meet of the club was conducted on 19th June 2021, Saturday on behalf of National Reading Day. Two books were discussed in the meet. Nooru Simhasangal penned by Jayamohan was reviewed by Heerakrishna R and Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka was presented by Aparna Mohanakumar.
The fourth meeting of the DC's Readers Club was conducted on 3rd July 2021, Saturday. Two books were presented in the meet. Tuesdays with Morrie written by Mitch Albom was reviewed by Aysha Areeba and Ghaathakan by K R Meera was presented by Meera S.
The fifth meeting of the DC's Readers Club was conducted on 14th August 2021, Saturday. Two books were presented in the meet. Kadukalude Thaalam Thedi written by Sujathadevi was reviewed by Sajitha L and The Good Earth written by Pearl S Buck was presented by Akhil Sreekumar.
The sixth meeting of the DC's Readers Club was conducted on 18th September 2021, Saturday. Two books were presented in the meet. One Hundred Years of Solitude written by Gabriel Garcia Marquez was reviewed by Reshma Raichel Koshy and Ikigai written by Hector Garcia and Francesc Miralles was presented by Anns Thomas.
The seventh meeting of the DC's Readers Club was conducted on 25th September 2021, Saturday. Two books were presented in the meet. Divided by Partition, United by Resilience written by Mallika Ahluwalia was reviewed by Adithya Kumar R and The Secret written by Rhonda Byrne was presented by Avani Krishna.
The eighth meeting of the DC's Readers Club was conducted on 10th October 2021, Sunday. Two books were presented in the meet. The Fifth Mountain written by Paulo Coelho was reviewed by Rahul Krishnan and Arachar written by K R Meera was presented by Priyanka M D.
The ninth meeting of the DC's Readers Club was conducted on 24th October 2021, Sunday. Two books were presented in the meet. Three Thousand Stitches written by Sudha Murty was reviewed by Kavya Gopinath and Who Will Cry, When You Die? written by Robin Sharma was presented by Haripriya C.
