Profile of chess club DCSV
The Delftse Christelijke Schaakvereniging is a modest, friendly club of motivated and convivial chess players. Top performance is not our main concern. Chess enjoyment and a good atmosphere are much more important to us. DCSV was founded on 25 November 1949. It is a Protestant Christian association. Nowadays, this means that members are expected to respect these beliefs.
A member of DCSV is automatically a member of the Koninklijke Nederlandse Schaakbond (Royal Dutch Chess Association) and therefore receives the digital monthly magazine Schaakmagazine and a discount on the magazine SchakenNL.
Within DCSV, one can participate in the internal competition and the HSB-competition.
DCSV promotes chess in general and in association in particular.
Twice a year, the association organises a simultaneous match.
The rules and procedures that apply within DCSV can be found in the Statuten en het Huishoudelijk Reglement (Statutes and Internal Regulations).
DCSV is affiliated with the Koninklijke Nederlandse Schaakbond (Royal Dutch Chess Association), the Haagse Schaakbond (Hague Chess Association) and the Sportraad van Delft (Delft Sports Council).
