The Board of Directors of the Biological Systems Chemistry Division of the Italian Chemical Society (SCI) has approved 20 scholarships in favor of unstructured young effective members (recent graduates, PhD students, fellows, and contractors), who would like to actively participate in the 2023 National Congress of the Division of Chemistry of Biological Systems.
The scholarships will cover the registration fees for the DCSB 2023 Congress, as well as a contribution for the accommodation costs (150.00 euros).
The grants will be awarded to young people who are going to present a scientific contribution (oral communication and / or poster) at the Congress. A copy of the scientific contribution, the CV, and the indication of the membership card of the Italian Chemical Society must be attached to the scholarship application.
Applications must be sent by e-mail and received by 6th June 2023 to the following email addresses: michael.assfalg@univr.it; alessandra.magistrato@sissa.it; gaetano.malgieri@unicampania.it; francesco.peri@unimib.it.
It should be noted that the submission of the abstract for the assignment of the scholarship does not replace the submission of the abstract to the Congress, which must be carried out by the deadline of the 6th June 2023.
The deadline for applying for scholarships has been extended to 16th June 2023
The selection will be handled by the members of the Board based on the CV. The assignment of the scholarships will be notified by 20th June 2023.
DCSB-Italfarmaco Award

Dear members,
It is a pleasure to announce that the DCSB-Italfarmaco Award, dedicated to Gastone De Santis, founder of the Italfarmaco Company, is being announced also this year.
The award is intended for our members under the age of 40 on 01-01-2023 who have carried out research activities relevant to the Chemistry of Biological Systems. Participation is open to all members of the SCI as long as they are effective or adherent members of our Division. Participation in the competition is valid even if registration is made at the same time of sending the documentation.
The winner will be invited as a guest of the Division to present their scientific work in English at the Divisional Congress and will receive a contribution of 2500.00 euros from the Italfarmaco Company.
Candidates up to the third degree of kinship with the Directors of the Division are excluded from taking part in the competition.
