The Communications Committee works to project a strong, unified, and professional public voice for DCLWU. They write and maintain style guidelines for public and internal communications from union leadership, document workflows for communications platforms, design templates for communications, and maintain community guidelines for union-specific internal communications on platforms. 

The committee includes the Website Editor, Discord Server Admin(s), Newsletter Editor(s), and the Recording Secretary.

The Outreach Committee welcomes new employees into the union, supports current members through significant life events, builds community through social gatherings, and visibly represents DCLWU at campus and local events. The committee acts as the union's front line for member connection and support, so that every bargaining unit member feels informed, included, and cared for.




The committee consists of 4-5 volunteer union members and one ex officio executive board member.
