The Unit Career Advisor (UCA) Program benefits both commanders and members by managing Career Motivational Program (CMP) surveys throughout an enlisted member’s career. These surveys help identify concerns, empower Airmen, and enhance retention and morale.
Purpose:
The CMP is a proactive process to engage members and help commanders address retention issues. It includes periodic interviews to discuss career plans and goals.
UCA Role:

Support informed decision-making
Provide another platform for commanders to connect with their teams
UCA Program Structure:
UCAs, appointed by commanders, manage CMP surveys, ensuring they're completed and reviewed. Members can fill out surveys digitally or in print, and the UCA facilitates discussions between members and commanders.
Survey Types - Links to Pages:
Initial CMP Survey: Within 90 days of transfer or return from Tech School.
Reenlistment CMP Survey: 9-12 months before ETS.
Follow-Up CMP Survey: For those not planning to re-enlist, 3-6 months before ETS.
Benefits:
The UCA program fosters communication, helping members with decisions like education benefits or bonuses. It encourages meaningful dialogue between members and commanders, strengthening team cohesion.
