Yesterday, August 10, 2026, the Salesian Community of DBTI Tarlac joyfully paid a courtesy and fraternal visit to His Eminence, Most Reverend Bishop Roberto Mallari of the Diocese of Tarlac.

We were blessed by his fatherly warmth, generosity, and hospitality, as he shared personal stories of his encounters with fellow Salesians. Special thanks to Fr. Neil and Ma’am Shirley (Inday) for graciously welcoming us.

The visit concluded with heartfelt gifts of presence and books from our beloved Shepherd of Tarlac.

The Grade 6 Bosconians of Don Bosco Tarlac gathered with excitement for the connection test of the Sennan City Project, an online exchange program with students from Osaka, Japan. With devices in hand, they eagerly logged into Zoom, ready for their first taste of international communication.

Under the guidance of Ms. Prescious Mae Macasiog, the students participated in a test session designed to prepare them for the upcoming exchanges. It was a moment for them to practice English, engage in cultural discussions, and build confidence in navigating virtual platforms. Despite the technical aspects, the students showed enthusiasm as they shared stories about their lives, exchanging smiles and learning about each other’s cultures.

As the session wrapped up, the Bosconians were excited to continue building connections with their Japanese peers and broaden their understanding of the world.

The Grade 5 Bosconians at Don Bosco Tarlac were filled with excitement as they prepared for the connection test of the Sennan City Project, an online exchange program with students from Osaka, Japan. With laptops and tablets ready, they eagerly joined the Zoom session, eager to engage with their international peers.

Facilitated by Ms. Prescious Mae Macasiog, the test session allowed the students to practice their English skills and get familiar with the online platform. The Bosconians actively participated in interactive activities and shared stories about their school life, fostering a sense of connection with the Japanese students they would soon meet.

By the end of the session, the Grade 5 students were eager to continue their cultural exchange, excited about the friendships and learning opportunities that lay ahead in the program.

Bosconians Join Pilot Session of Sennan City Project Online Exchange

Grade 5 students of Don Bosco Technical Institute, Tarlac, took part in the pilot session of the Sennan City Project Online Exchange Program, where they interacted virtually with Grade 6 students of Higashi Elementary School in Osaka, Japan. The session was filled with excitement as Bosconians introduced themselves and shared aspects of Filipino culture, while their Japanese counterparts showcased their own traditions and interests. Guided activities and interactive presentations allowed both groups to overcome language and cultural differences, turning the digital classroom into a joyful space of learning and friendship. Teachers from both schools emphasized the importance of this initiative in fostering global competence, communication skills, and intercultural understanding, making the session not only an academic exchange but also a meaningful step toward nurturing respect, openness, and global citizenship among the young learners.

Don Bosco–Tarlac Explores International Partnership with Taiwan Through Exchange Programs

Don Bosco Technical Institute–Tarlac took another significant step toward strengthening its global education initiatives as school administrators met online with representatives from Taihe Elementary School in Taiwan to discuss future international collaborations.

Fr. Daniel R. Gonzales, SDB, Principal of Don Bosco–Tarlac, and Ms. Lovely Cruz, English Area Head, attended the virtual meeting held on July 9, 2026. Representing Taihe Elementary School were Mr. Zong-Han Xie, Principal; Ms. Li-Zhen Chen, Director of Counseling; Ms. Rose Huang, Local English Teacher; and Ms. Rochelle Sansano, Foreign English Teacher.

During the meeting, both schools discussed plans to conduct online international exchange classes and explored the possibility of establishing a face-to-face student exchange program in the future.

Ms. Rochelle Sansano shared that Taihe Elementary School was impressed by the various international programs currently being implemented by Don Bosco–Tarlac. In response, Fr. Daniel affirmed the school's commitment to developing a sustainable international exchange partnership that will provide meaningful learning opportunities for students from both institutions.

The proposed collaboration aims to give elementary pupils authentic opportunities to enhance their English communication skills while fostering cross-cultural understanding and lasting international friendships.

As Don Bosco–Tarlac continues to expand its global education initiatives, the school is also preparing to host its inbound student exchange program with students from Saint Dominic School in Thailand during the current academic year. At the same time, it looks forward to building a meaningful and long-term partnership with Taihe Elementary School in Taiwan, further strengthening its commitment to international education and cultural exchange.
