Remote learning began for Dayton Public School students during the COVID-19 pandemic. Though schools have reopened, resources for students using Chromebooks and WiFi hotspots for remote education and homework continue to be available.

ABOUT DAYTON DIGITAL ACADEMY
The Dayton Digital Academy is an online instructional program for students in grades 9-12. The academy offers an online alternative to traditional classroom instruction and is designed for DPS resident students who are not currently enrolled at Dayton Public Schools. The Dayton Innovation Virtual Academy is a partnership with the Educational Service Center of Cuyahoga County's Ohio Online Learning Program. The DIVA curriculum is provided by Apex Learning. The curriculum is fully accredited by AdvancED. The program is designed to retain students by offering them a fully online course load.

The academy is free of charge to students who are residents of Dayton. Students are provided access to a free laptop and wifi and schedule flexibility, as well as eligibility for sports. This is an online path for students to become college and career ready.
