• World A’Fair 데이튼 지역 사회 행사 (매년 5월중): 데이튼 다운타운에서 2박 3일로 하는 인터네셔널 행사로 한인회와 함께 참가 봉사합니다.

• 연말연시 불우이웃 등 특별 자선 행사 

• Africa 선교 장학금 후원: 말라위 미라클 기술학교 (Miracle Technical Institute)  & 샤미나드 마리아니스트 중등학교 (Chaminade Marianist Secondary School)

신시네티 대교구 주교 Bishop Carl Moeddel과 Fr. Buby Bertrand, SM에 의한 백삼 한인 천주교 공동체의 정식 설립

WPAFB Chapel 2 에서 미 군종 신부 Fr. Lockner 모시고 데이튼 한인 천주교 공동체 미사를 다시 시작함

Our History

May 9th, 1982

The inception of the community and first Mass in Dayton;

Celebrated by Father Young Soo Wang (Francis, Diocese of Busan) with community officers Chang Seo Kang, Han Mok Yang, Byung Ku Han, and Young Chi Kim.

June 1982

Visit from Busan Diocese Bishop Gap Soo Lee (Diocese of Busan);

Dayton-Cincinnati Korean Catholic Joint Mass at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, Cincinnati, Ohio

1985

The official founding of the Baeksam Korean Catholic Community in the Cincinnati Archdiocese, approved by Bishop Carl Moeddel and Father Buby Bertrand, SM.

June 1987

Arrival of Father Hee-Ook Jung (Andrew, Diocese of Andong)

Appointment of Father Yun Keun Kim (Peter, Diocese of Busan)

Our community moved to St. John Church in Middletown to merge with Cincinnati St. Andrew Kim Korean Catholic Community; the Church Building Committee was formed.

Restart of Dayton Korean Catholic Mass at WPAFB Chapel 2 with Father Joe Lockner
