Daytend is designed to work without an account. Your routines and history stay on your device unless you choose to export a backup. This policy explains the limited information handled by Daytend and its service providers.
INFORMATION STORED ON YOUR DEVICE
Daytend stores information you enter in a local database on your device. It may include your display name; activities, folders, schedules, reminders, notes, completion history, preferences, appearance, Petals, and locally cached Pro entitlement status. Daytend does not upload this routine data to a developer-operated server.
BACKUPS AND FILES
When you export a backup, Daytend creates an encrypted and authenticated .daytend file and lets you choose where to save or share it. The file may contain your profile name, activities, folders, schedules, reminder settings, completion history and notes, appearance preferences, and saved card styles. It does not contain your Petal balance, reward unlocks, Pro entitlement status, App Lock setting, quick reminders, or device notification-delivery state.
The .daytend format is intended to prevent casual inspection and detect damaged or modified files, but it is not a substitute for keeping the exported file in a secure location. Daytend does not control copies saved to Files, iCloud Drive, or another service. Imports are validated and processed on your device. Restoring replaces the portable Daytend data currently on the device and creates a temporary local recovery copy for the Undo last restore feature.
PURCHASES
Apple processes payments for Daytend Pro. RevenueCat helps retrieve products, validate purchases, restore access, and maintain entitlement status. Daytend uses a RevenueCat-generated anonymous app user identifier rather than an account identifier. Apple and RevenueCat may process that identifier, purchase history, product information, transaction status, and technical information required for these services. Daytend does not receive your full payment-card details.
Any service provider that receives information through Daytend must provide the same or equivalent protection described in this policy and required by applicable law and Apple’s policies.
NOTIFICATIONS AND DEVICE PERMISSIONS
If you enable reminders, Daytend requests notification permission and schedules notifications you configure. Schedules are stored locally. If you enable App Lock, Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode is evaluated by iOS; Daytend does not receive or store biometric data.
ACCOUNTS, ANALYTICS, ADVERTISING, AND AI
Daytend does not require an account. This release does not include third-party advertising, behavioral analytics about routine content or general app usage, cross-app tracking, or external AI processing. RevenueCat processes purchase history for purchase analytics and app functionality as described in the Purchases section. Daytend does not sell personal information.
RETENTION AND DELETION
Local data remains until you remove it. In Daytend, open Settings and choose “Erase all app data” to remove activities, history, folders, reminders, saved card styles, Petals, reward unlocks, preferences, and imported data from the app database. Deleting the app removes its local app container, including any local restore-recovery copy. Exported backups must be deleted separately. Purchase records retained by Apple or RevenueCat follow their own policies and legal obligations.
CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
Daytend is a general-audience organization tool and is not directed to children under 13. Daytend does not knowingly collect children’s personal information through an account or developer-operated server.
SECURITY
Daytend limits collection by keeping routine data local. No storage or encryption method is completely secure. Protect your device and exported .daytend files, and do not send a backup to anyone unless you intend to share the personal information it contains.
