June brings us back around to our annual Progressive Dinner, held outdoors this year on The Green.
Spring found us resuming monthly community potlucks and feeling fortunate to have lovely outdoor spaces to enjoy them in.
We held our annual Spring HOA Business meeting in April.
In March we welcomed the newest and youngest member of DayStar to this world-- with congrats to the new parents!
February saw us celebrating the upcoming addition to our DayStar family with a baby shower on The Green.
In January we unveiled our new DayStar sign that features a hummingbird graphic designed by the teenage artist in our midst!
We celebrated Daystar’s 29th Anniversary in January and continue to appreciate the vision and passion of those who turned their idea of 'living in community' into a reality in 1993.
Covid couldn't stop us! During the last couple of years, we've seen more of each other than ever by embracing our Green as the site of outdoor weekly happy hours; Movie Nights; and community brunches. We enjoyed High Tea one fine afternoon and gathered one evening to watch Presidential Election night TV coverage. We find reasons to enjoy each others' company!
In August 2021, two of our own exchanged vows on The Green in a lovely wedding ceremony on a gorgeous afternoon.
April 2021 found us celebrating a neighbor's birthday with a catered lunch under tents on The Green.
In March 2020 we added another member to our growing community when a neighboring couple welcomed the birth of their daughter.

We celebrated 25 years of DayStar in 2018.
DayStar opened our yards and common spaces to the public as part of the 2018 Maclay Gardens Annual Tour of Gardens.
The Light House has hosted the Audubon Birding Tour and a house concert by the local musical group, Adventures of Annabelle Lyn.
The Beehive hosted a house concert featuring the acoustic duo, Genna & Jesse.
Solstice Cottage has served as the location for 3 different FSU School of Film crews in the production of short movies.
For 5 years, DayStar cooked and delivered a monthly meal to the Hope Community, a part of the Big Bend Homeless Coalition.
Our Community Green has hosted family weddings, receptions, birthdays, and baby showers.
