DAYOFF is designed with privacy as a core principle. Your data belongs to you. We do not collect, store, transmit or sell any personal information.

WHAT DATA DOES DAYOFF STORE

DAYOFF stores the following data locally on your device:

- Employment profile information (employer name, country, work schedule)

- Leave categories and their configurations (names, allocations, accrual rules)

- Leave entries (dates, category, notes)

- App preferences and settings

- Public holiday data for your selected country

All of this data is stored on your device using Apple SwiftData framework. It is never transmitted to any server operated by us.

DATA COLLECTION

We do not collect any data. Specifically:

- No analytics or tracking SDKs are included in the app

- No crash reporting services are used

- No advertising networks are integrated

- No user accounts are created or required

- No personal information is transmitted to our servers

- We do not have servers

AI FEATURES AND THIRD-PARTY DATA SHARING

DAYOFF includes an optional AI Vacation Planner feature powered by Anthropic Claude API. This feature is entirely optional and requires you to provide your own API key.

When you use the AI feature, the following data is sent directly from your device to Anthropic API servers:

- Your leave category names and remaining balances

- Your work schedule (which days you work)

- Your country (for holiday context)

- Upcoming scheduled leave dates

- Your natural language request or question

This data is sent directly to Anthropic via HTTPS. It does not pass through any server operated by us. Anthropic processes this data according to their own privacy policy available at anthropic.com/privacy.

You can review exactly what data is shared in the app under Settings then AI Privacy then What Data is Shared. You must grant explicit consent before any data is sent.

If you do not configure an API key or do not grant consent, no data is ever sent to any third party.

YOUR API KEY

Your Claude API key is stored securely in the iOS Keychain on your device only. It is encrypted by the operating system and is never transmitted anywhere except directly to Anthropic API when you use AI features. You can delete your API key at any time in Settings.

DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY

- All app data is stored locally using Apple SwiftData framework

- Your API key is stored in iOS Keychain with kSecAttrAccessibleWhenUnlockedThisDeviceOnly protection

- No data is backed up to iCloud unless you have enabled device-level iCloud backups in your iOS settings

- You can export your data at any time as JSON, CSV or PDF

- You can delete all app data at any time using the Reset All Data option in Settings

CHILDREN

DAYOFF is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
