During my placement year, I gained a wide variety of After Effects knowledge just from working on one industry project. To prepare for my final year of University, I produced a full, professional 2D After Effects rig.
I designed this character from scratch to build on my character design skills, and carefully implemented detail to the character based on what can be achievable when transferred to a rig.
Following my own studying and research from videos, I built my rig with the DUIK plugin mainly for the limbs and head functions. The rest is built with expressions, the pivot tool, and careful placements of each body part.
