PRIVACY POLICY
Daydrop
Last updated: October 21, 2026
1. Who We Are
Flowbit Labs provides Daydrop (the "App"), a personal diary application. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the App. For privacy questions and requests, contact flowbitlabs@gmail.com.
2. Diary Information Processed on Your Device
The App stores diary text, entry dates, tags and tag colors, selected photo copies, drafts, recently used tags, app preferences, backup status, and recovery records in local app storage. It uses this information to display, search, edit, organize, recover, and back up your diary.
Daydrop does not require a Daydrop account. We do not operate a server that receives or synchronizes your diary entries or photos. The App does not send diary text, tags, or photo content to AdMob as advertising targeting information. Local diary processing is separate from the information handled by advertising and Google Play services described below.
3. Photos and File Access
You select photos using Android's photo or document picker. The App receives access to selected files and creates local image copies for diary display. These copies can be resized or compressed. The App does not request broad access to your photo library, contacts, microphone, or precise device location for diary features.
ZIP export and import use the Android document picker. A backup contains diary entries and their attached photo copies. If you select a cloud storage provider or share a backup through another app, that provider handles the files under its own policy. Daydrop does not automatically upload these files to Flowbit Labs.
4. Advertising
The App uses Google AdMob through the Google Mobile Ads SDK to display banner ads within the diary feed and app-open ads. Ad availability depends on loading conditions and the App's configuration. Ads are disabled when the App recognizes an active Daydrop Pro entitlement. Purchasing Pro does not erase information previously processed by advertising providers.
When the advertising SDK operates, Google processes information such as IP addresses, which can indicate approximate location; app and advertisement interactions; diagnostic and performance information; and device identifiers such as the advertising ID and app set ID. This information supports ad delivery, measurement, analytics, and fraud prevention. Available identifiers and advertising behavior depend on device settings and applicable advertising controls. The App does not request precise location permission for advertising or use diary content to personalize ads.
Google explains its practices at https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Android advertising settings let you manage the advertising ID where supported. Where consent is required, advertising processing must follow the applicable consent requirements; this policy does not itself obtain consent or replace an in-app consent process.
5. Daydrop Pro Purchases and Restoration
Daydrop Pro is a one-time in-app purchase through Google Play Billing. It removes ads and allows up to 20 photos per diary entry. It is not a subscription. Google Play handles checkout, payment details, transaction records, and payment processing under Google's policies. Flowbit Labs does not receive your full card number or payment-account credentials through the App.
The App receives purchase information from Google Play, including the product identifier, purchase status, and purchase token or verification information. It uses this information to recognize your entitlement, complete purchase acknowledgement, restore purchases, and refresh ownership status, including changes following a refund or revocation. The App stores a local entitlement cache containing Pro status, ownership-check timestamps, and purchase-completion status. It does not upload purchase tokens to a Flowbit Labs server.
Restoration depends on the purchase being available through the relevant Google Play account. Clearing local App data does not cancel a Google Play purchase or delete Google's transaction records. Google retains purchase information under its own policies and applicable requirements. Purchase and refund controls are available through Google Play.
6. Other Platform Services and Support
Google Play handles app distribution, update checks, and optional store reviews under Google's policies. We have not integrated a separate app analytics or remote crash-reporting service. This does not exclude diagnostic processing performed by Google's advertising or platform services.
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address, message, and any information or attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond, troubleshoot issues, and handle privacy requests. Please avoid sending diary backups or sensitive personal content unless necessary. Email is processed through our email service provider.
7. Data Storage and Retention
Diary records and settings remain in local app storage until removed or until App storage is cleared. Entries moved to Recently Deleted can be restored for 30 days. You can empty Recently Deleted earlier using its available control. Expired entries are excluded during subsequent loading and omitted from subsequently saved diary data; the App does not promise background deletion at the exact expiration time.
When you empty Recently Deleted, the App also attempts to remove its managed photo copies belonging to those entries if they are not referenced by other records, remaining deleted entries, or a draft. Some unused photo copies can remain if cleanup cannot complete or until App storage is cleared. Original photos in your gallery are not deleted by this action.
The local Pro entitlement cache remains available for purchase recognition and is refreshed through Google Play. Ordinary diary-data reset actions can preserve this cache. Clearing all App storage or uninstalling removes local App data, subject to any platform backup or restoration behavior.
Android or device-manufacturer backup and device-transfer services can retain or restore App data depending on device settings and platform behavior. These services are distinct from a Daydrop-operated cloud service. Review your device and backup provider's settings if you do not want these copies retained.
Exported ZIP files remain wherever you saved them until you delete them. Advertising and platform providers retain information according to their own policies. Support correspondence is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the request, maintain related support records, or meet legal obligations, and is deleted when no longer needed.
8. Deletion and Your Choices
You can edit or delete entries, recover eligible entries in Recently Deleted, or empty Recently Deleted. To remove all local Daydrop files, use Android Settings to clear the App's storage or uninstall it. These actions do not delete original gallery photos, exported ZIP files, provider backups, Google Play transaction records, or information already held by Google or your email provider. Manage those copies through the relevant service or device controls.
Because we do not hold your local diary on our servers, we cannot remotely retrieve or erase it. You can contact us about information you sent directly to us. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, receive a copy, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, or complain to a competent authority. We handle requests in accordance with applicable law and may need proportionate information to verify a request.
9. Sharing and International Processing
We do not sell your diary content or provide it to advertisers. Information is handled by Google for advertising, payments, entitlement restoration, and other platform functions; by your selected storage or sharing provider for requested file operations; and by our email provider when you contact us, as described above. Information we hold may also be disclosed when legally required or necessary to protect lawful rights, subject to applicable law.
Third-party providers can process information outside your country. Their policies explain the locations, safeguards, and choices relevant to their services. Where applicable law requires a specific legal basis, notice, or consent for processing or transfers, those requirements apply. This policy is not a substitute for obtaining required consent.
10. Security
The App relies on Android's app storage protections. It does not add a separate password or application-level encryption to diary files or exported ZIP backups. Protect your device and backups from unauthorized access. Google states that Mobile Ads SDK data is encrypted in transit. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
11. Children
Daydrop is intended for users aged 14 and older and is not directed to children under 14. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 14. If you believe a child has sent personal information directly to us, contact us so we can review and address it. Additional protections required by local law remain applicable.
12. Changes to This Policy
We update this policy when the App's information practices change and revise the date above. Where required, we provide additional notice or obtain consent before a material change takes effect.
13. Applicable Law
This policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without limiting mandatory privacy rights or protections that apply in your jurisdiction.
