In this year's competition, teams are to create a rocket that can carry an egg to 800 ft and descend safely. The rocket's flight should last 40-43 seconds and will be required to reach either 825 or 775 ft at National Finals in Washington, D.C. Of the 100 teams competing at D.C., the winning team wins a cash prize of $100,000 and is invited to represent America at the International Rocketry Challenge hosted in London, England.
