When The First Doctor and his friends arrive on a barren planet, the Town Guard brings them to see Cain.

Cain is the mayor of the town and he explains the current multiversal issue to The Doctor. He claims it is all a theory but is proved wrong when a tear opens up and reveals Omega in the void.

The Doctor enters the tear, leaving Susan, Ian and Barbara behind.
