Davide Gritti
Hi! I am a quantitative social scientist based at the University of Trento.
I currently work as Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Sociology and Social Research. I am affiliated with the Center for Social Inequality Studies. I work on a project within AGE-IT programme (S1 The demography of ageing: A Data Science approach to decision-making), co-funded by Next Generation EU .
I have a broad research agenda at the crossroads between sociology and social demography. In most of my works, I use longitudinal survey data and methods to answer societally relevant questions.
I am focusing on wealth and health consequences of sociodemographic trajectories and events. My work has been published in journals such as Advances in Life Course Research, Journal of Marriage and Family, Demographic Research, Research in Social Stratification and Mobility, and Social Indicators Research.
I obtained a PhD at the Doctoral School of Social Sciences in Trento in May 2024, with a thesis on demographic change and wealth inequality. In Spring 2022, I was visiting scholar at the Department of Social Sciences of Humboldt University in Berlin. In Summer 2024, I was visiting sholar at the Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research (LISER) and the LIS Cross-National Data Center.
