This course offered an intensive introduction to statistical theory for quantitative empirical research in the social sciences. Topics included probability theory, statistical inference from random samples, estimation theory, linear regression, maximum likelihood estimation, and a brief overview of identification strategies.
The course enrolled 25 graduate students. I led biweekly teaching sections and evaluations for the entire class.

This course explored the politics and challenges of urban life through the lens of the groundbreaking television series The Wire. Students examined key social science theories and applied them to topics such as crime, policing, and local elections.
The course enrolled 158 students. I led weekly teaching sessions and evaluations for a section of 31 students, and also delivered a full-class lecture on the politics of law enforcement and crime prosecution.
