Image of the bolt used for the project, I used a thread pitch gauge to find a pitch of 24 and measured the diameter to be 5/16 inch
Using a chart Identifying the proper measurements of drill bits and TAP sizes to use for the objective, the masurements we gathered align with the drill bit I, or .2720 decimal equivilant.
Using the identified measurements to drill press a hole according to the chart's information.
Adding a thread into the drilled hole to ensure the bolt fits securely, using a 5/16-24 thread bit.
Adding a third drilled hole into the box and using a torque wrench to secure a bolt with a nut and washerÂ
Identified torque spec using this chart shown to adjust the wrench to the correct setting of 45 for the bolt size of 3/8-16
Finished project with 3 drilled holes and 3 secured bolts.
