For this project, I was asked to pear up with a partner to research and collaborate as we compared global communities and their use and availability of technology.
For this project, I chose to research a little more about China. I wanted to dive a little deeper into knowing how much investment is made by their government with the usage of technology. I know as well as many others that China is well known for its advancements in technology. While doing my research on the nation of China, I learned that as of 2024, China’s population is estimated to be over 1.4 billion people. Also, as many of you may or may not know China has a population of over 1.4 billion people, making it the most populous country in the world today. China has a diverse ethnic makeup, with the Han Chinese being the largest ethnic group, making up over 90% of the population. As far as technology goes, China takes pride in their education, and they have incorporated technology into that. China has pushed STEM education and vocational programs to educate workers on how to succeed in the constantly developing digital economy. I also learned a little about China's climate. China has a continental monsoon climate with hot summers and cold winters to the north. The South has a subtropical climate with mild winters, hot and humid summers.
