DAVE — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how KJG Design ("we," "us") handles information in the DAVE app ("DAVE," "the app"). By using DAVE, you agree to this policy.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
- Content you provide: the questions, text, and photos you submit to features like Ask Dave and Dave Vision. Photos are used only to generate a response and are not published.
- Location: with your permission, DAVE uses your approximate location to show local weather. You can disable location access at any time in your device Settings.
- Usage and device data: we may collect anonymous app usage, device type, and diagnostic information to keep the app working and improve it.
- Purchases: subscriptions are processed by Apple. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but never see your payment details.
HOW WE USE INFORMATION
- To provide diagnostic assistance, parts and manual lookups, photo analysis, weather, and other app features.
- To operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the app.
- To manage DAVE Pro subscriptions.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
DAVE relies on trusted third-party services to function, including:
- Google Firebase — cloud data and app infrastructure.
- A third-party AI provider that processes your questions and submitted photos to generate responses.
- Apple — subscription processing and app distribution.
These providers process data only to deliver their part of the service, under their own privacy terms.
DATA SHARING
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers above as needed to operate the app, or when required by law.
DATA RETENTION
We keep conversation history and saved items on your device and, where applicable, in our cloud services for as long as needed to provide the app. You can clear your history in the app at any time.
CHILDREN
DAVE is intended for professional and general audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
YOUR CHOICES
- You can turn off camera, photo, and location access in your device Settings.
- You can clear saved conversations and items in the app.
- You can cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings.
IMPORTANT NOTE
DAVE provides reference and AI-generated information that may be incomplete or inaccurate. Always verify critical repairs against manufacturer documentation and follow proper safety procedures. DAVE is a tool to assist qualified technicians, not a substitute for professional judgment.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
