HOME SCREEN WIDGETS
• Touch and hold an empty area of the Home Screen.
• Tap Edit, then Add Widget.
• Search for DataWidget.
• Swipe through the available styles and tap Add Widget.
• Open DataWidget after changing a billing cycle so the widget can refresh.
LOCK SCREEN WIDGETS
• Touch and hold the Lock Screen, then tap Customize.
• Select Lock Screen and tap the widget area below the clock.
• Choose DataWidget and add your preferred balance, countdown, inline, or summary style.
• Lock Screen styles are selected in Apple’s widget add center. The gallery in Preferences is for previewing styles only.
WIDGET UPDATE TIME
Every DataWidget widget shows its last update time. iOS controls the exact widget refresh schedule, so the timestamp may not match the moment you look at it. Opening DataWidget helps request fresh data.
LIVE MONITOR
The Monitor tab shows current Wi-Fi and cellular download and upload speeds, plus session and daily usage totals.
NOTIFICATIONS AND ALERTS
Go to Preferences → Notification Settings to enable background notifications and choose billing-cycle alert thresholds. Also allow notifications for DataWidget in iOS Settings.
OFFLINE TOOLS
The Offline tab includes lightweight games and a reader for flights, tunnels, and other low-signal situations.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Widget not updating: Open DataWidget, confirm Background App Refresh is enabled, and check the update timestamp.
Totals differ from your carrier: Carrier reporting can be delayed. Use Usage Calibration on the Billing tab to align your cycle.
Alerts not arriving: Check both DataWidget’s Notification Settings and the iOS notification permission.
Wrong widget style: Remove the widget and add the desired style again from Apple’s widget add center.
