Privacy Policy for DataWidget
Effective date: August 13, 2026
DataWidget ("the App") helps you monitor Wi-Fi and cellular data usage. This policy explains what information is handled by the App and by the third-party services used for advertising and background notifications.
1. Data Stored on Your Device
The App stores your network-usage history, billing-cycle configuration, alert thresholds, preferences, and device boot timestamps locally on your device. We do not receive this local usage or configuration data. You can remove it by deleting the App.
2. Advertising
The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. Depending on your location, consent choices, device settings, and Google's configuration, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may process information such as:
• IP address, which may be used to estimate general location;
• device or app identifiers;
• advertisements viewed and interactions with advertisements;
• app interactions related to advertising; and
• diagnostic and performance information.
Google may use this information to provide ads, measure advertising performance, prevent fraud and abuse, perform analytics, and improve its services. Learn more at:
https://policies.google.com/privacy
https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
Where required, the App asks for your advertising consent before requesting ads. You can review or change available choices in the App under Preferences > Ad Privacy.
3. Background Notifications
The App uses Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver silent notifications used for background data refresh. Firebase may process an APNs token, an app installation or FCM registration token, device model, language, time zone, operating-system version, application identifier, and application version to provide this service.
These notification identifiers are not used by us to identify you personally. You can disable silent notifications in the App's preferences or manage notification permission in iOS Settings, although doing so may reduce background refresh reliability.
4. Analytics
Google Analytics for Firebase data collection is currently disabled in the App. AdMob may still process advertising, interaction, diagnostic, and performance data as described above.
5. Affiliate Links
If an advertisement is unavailable, the App may display a sponsored link to Saily or another disclosed partner. If you choose to open an affiliate link, you leave the App and the partner's privacy policy and terms apply. We may receive a commission if you make a purchase through an affiliate link, at no additional cost to you.
6. Data Sharing and Retention
We do not sell your locally stored network-usage or configuration data. Information processed by Google or an affiliate partner is handled and retained according to that provider's policies. We do not operate user accounts and cannot retrieve third-party advertising or messaging data by your name.
7. Your Choices
You may:
• manage available advertising privacy choices under Preferences > Ad Privacy;
• manage notification permission in iOS Settings;
• choose not to open affiliate links; and
• delete the App to remove locally stored App data.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights. Contact us with a privacy request or question, and we will respond as required by applicable law.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when the App, its service providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the latest revision.
