Field of research of Data Science Center of Kyiv Academic University is the development and application of modern method's of machine learning and artificial intelligence for experimental data processing. 

This center is interdisciplinary and is created by KAU departments:  

- Department of Mathematics at the Institute of Mathematics NAS of Ukraine

- Department of applied physics and nanomaterials at the G.V. Kurdyumov Institute of metal physics

- Department of theoretical and mathematical physics at the M.M. Bogolyubov Institute of theoretical physics

Significant contribution for center developing was made by researchers from Institute of  mathematical machines and systems problems, Institute of detecting information problems, Institute of molecular biology and genetics and other institutes of NAS of Ukraine.
