The function of the Datathon is to create an impact on scientific outreach and dissemination of the project DataBri-X through research questions, challenges, or presentations during the Datathon.

Participants split into teams to work through a set of given problems and then present their findings to a panel of judges. If you’re passionate about tackling the most interesting and critical challenges that impact global markets, a Datathon is for you.

You will be participating to a DataBri-X tool called JenPlane that is developed by our project partner TIB. JenPlane is a flexible data management process designed to optimize scientific data lifecycle management across various disciplines. It offers a non-sequential, two-dimensional approach, allowing for customization to meet the specific needs of different projects and organizations. At its core, JenPlane empowers users to design their data lifecycle by customizing one of the available process templates and then selecting the most energy-efficient and complementary tools tailored to their specific data management tasks with the help of a large language model (LLM)-based recommendation engine. The designed process, equipped with the selected tools, can be deployed onto an Argo workflow execution server for execution.

Our datathon is open to all who share a passion for data-driven solutions and innovation. Whether you are an undergraduate or a graduate student, a researcher, or an engineer, this is your platform to shine!!
We encourage participation from individuals with diverse backgrounds in Machine Learning, Database, Security, and Data Discovery.
To ensure a productive and engaging experience for all participants, it is essential that you are familiar with a programming languages (e.g., Python) and have coding experience.
