Datasets in Textbook (2nd ed.)

The datasets below are used in the older second edition of the textbook. They are available here for those interested in using these data in their own statistical software.

Datasets as txt files

Datasets in this section are available as simple text files. The first line of each file lists the variable names. Variable names and entries in data rows are separated by spaces. The name of the file refers to the exhibit number in the chapter where the data first appear or are referenced. For example, ex4.1.txt is the dataset corresponding to Exhibit 4.1 in Chapter 4.
