Corinna Turbes is the Policy Director at the Data Coalition. In this role, Corinna supports the organization’s advocacy, lobbying, and government affairs operations.
Prior to joining the Data Coalition, she worked for the Council of Professional Associations on Federal Statistics as their Associate Director. There she worked closely with Congress on appropriations, data policy issues, and, most recently, implementation of Evidence Act provisions.
She served as the co-chair of the Friends of the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Before moving to Washington, D.C., Corinna worked as the Federal Policy Coordinator for the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits, helping state-based advocates engage with key federal policies.
Corinna received her Master’s in Public Policy from the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey School of Public Affairs.

Beth Blauer is the Executive Director and co-founder of the Centers for Civic Impact at Johns Hopkins University (Civic Impact). As a dedicated public servant and international expert on government performance programs for more than fifteen years, Beth Blauer spent her career working to improve people’s lives by bringing data into governments’ decision-making processes.
Blauer has successfully worked with over 140 mayors from around the globe to advance the use of data and evidence. She has built the organization to be a leader in data-driven insights for city leaders and public sector practitioners across the country and around the world.
Having entered public service as a juvenile probation officer in Maryland, Blauer was quickly promoted within the department, quickly becoming the Chief of Staff. It was in this capacity she began working on the creation and implementation of “StateStat.” In 2008, then Governor Martin O’Malley asked Blauer to lead his nationally recognized StateStat program.
Blauer graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maryland and holds a JD from New York Law School. She is a recipient of the 2012 CAP award for her work on Maryland’s StateStat.

Emilda B. Rivers is the Director of the National Science Foundation's National Center for Science and Engineering Statistics and the Chair of the Federal Advisory Committee on Data for Evidence Building.
As the Director of NCSES, she is responsible for leading the statistical agency in its mission to provide information about US science and engineering enterprises. Additionally she is spearheading the development of the agency's growing role supporting evidence-based decision-making.
Ms. Rivers has extensive experience in the federal statistical service spanning three principal statistical agencies working as a mathematical statistician with both administrative and survey data. During these years of service she designed and implemented projects to provide critical statistical information to decision makers and built credibility and trust with diverse statistical and scientific communities.
In 2017, Rivers was named by Forbes as one of 25 Women Leading Data and Analytics in the US Government. She graduated top of her class in mathematics from South Carolina State University and has a Master of Science degree from the University of Maryland, College Park.
