How to Delete Your Data
Option 1: From Within the App (Recommended)
Open SlipSplit on your device
Tap the Settings icon (gear) in the top right
Scroll down to the Privacy section
Tap "Delete My Data"
Confirm the deletion when prompted
This will immediately delete all your uploaded receipt images and data from our servers.
Option 2: Contact Us Directly
If you no longer have access to the app, email us at darkmatterdevworks@gmail.com with:
Subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
The approximate dates you used the app
Any other identifying information
We will process your request within 30 days.
What Data Is Deleted
When you delete your data, the following is permanently removed from our servers:
Deleted
Receipt images
Extracted item names and prices
OCR training metadata
What Data Is NOT Stored on Our Servers
The following data is only stored locally on your device and is never uploaded:
Your bill split history
Person names you've added
App settings and preferences
To delete local data, simply uninstall the app or clear app data in your device settings.
Data Retention
Uploaded training data: Deleted immediately upon request
Local app data: Deleted when you uninstall the app or clear app data
No backup copies: We do not retain backup copies of deleted data
