Fall Classes Start On 9/9!
Darby’s Teaching Assistant Info 25-26
Hi everyone! Thank you so much for volunteering to be part of this amazing organization. As TA’s, your role is to support your buddy in class, as well as assist us with fundraising by volunteering in events such as Bun Fairies! As ambassadors, our role is not only to support the class but to fundraise for the program with the help of the studio. We volunteer in both the Saturday and Monday classes, and have gathered some helpful advice from what we have learned throughout the years that we would love to share with you! These reminders are here to guide and help you make things run as smooth as possible for Ms. Daphne and the dancers to ensure they have an amazing year!
Reminders for class!
Wear any TA shirt (a Darby’s TA shirt will be provided) with plain black or other dark colored leggings or pants.
Support your buddy. Most TA’s will be paired with a buddy who will be your main focus. However if your buddy is absent or you don’t have a pairing, ask the teacher how you can be most helpful and step in where you are needed. Even without a buddy, your role is just as valuable.
Going to be absent? Give as much notice as possible Ms. Jessica and the ambassadors! You are in charge of arranging your own sub, just be sure to do it ahead of time and remember to inform one of the ambassadors and Ms. Jessica.
If you need help finding a sub, please reach out to the ambassadors.
You are expected to attend the Franklin Park performance (April) and Recital (June) with the class you are volunteering in. This could include being offstage and demonstrating the dance or being onstage dancing with your buddy.
We really need your help to run some of the amazing fundraisers we are planning. Please be sure to look out for sign up geniuses.
Your volunteering helps the program run smoothly!
