Jacquee Williams, the founder of TDD, started her dance career as an assistant teacher in the fall of 1967 at a studio opened by her Abadie cousins.  When her cousins had to relocate in 1968, Marie "Mimi" Abadie assumed ownership, with Jacquee Abadie as the dance instructor, continuing to educate the 35 students that were enrolled at the time.  And so began her 50 year journey.  For 50 years, Mrs. Jacquee continued to teach dance in Ascension Parish, while touching the hearts of SO many.   In 1981, I, Jodey Bruno, joined Mrs. Jacquee's dance classes, where I learned through elementary, middle, and high school the art of dance.  At the age of 15, Mrs. Jacquee gave me the opportunity to expand my love of dance through her class demonstrator program. Upon the completion of high school, I began teaching for Mrs. Jacquee, including assisting with her competitive program for many years.  In 2018, nearing retirement age, Mrs. Jacquee honored me, Jodey Bruno, to become the new owner of The Danse Difference as she remained on staff teaching the children she loved so dearly.    In the past five years, it has been my pleasure to work hand in hand with Mrs. Jacquee, beginning my journey of studio ownership and director, while striving to continue the legacy of excellence set forth by my mentor.  Through these years, Mrs. Jacquee has touched the lives of millions, generation after generation, instilling not only a love of dance, but patience, respect, dedication, and the value of hard work.   Jacq Jacq, Maw Jacq, Mrs. Jacquee - whatever you call her, she is one in a million!  She continues to support our studio as we strive to continue her legacy in Ascension Parish.  We love you, Jacq Jacq!
