Prof. Hannes Jonson and I will be teaching a tutorial entitled "Long Timescale Atomic Simulations in Materials Science" on Sunday Nov. 29th at the MRS Fall Meeting in Boston, MA. The tutorial will cover fundamentals of Transition State Theory and its applications to kinetics in materials, as well as Accelerated Molecular Dynamics methods, that aim at extending the timescales amenable to direct atomistic simulations.
