As an Athletic Director, I believe participation in sports and extracurricular activities teaches a lot of life lessons in which can be utilized in everyday endeavors. Character traits such as self- discipline, self-motivation, work ethic, and accountability can be obtained while participating in athletics. I strive to bring high enthusiasm and great passion day in and day out which will trickle down to my coaching staff and athletes. My overall goal as Athletic Director is to create a community of leaders. It is important that I communicate the importance of an education while participating in athletics to not only my student-athletes and coaching staff, but to parents as well.
My responsibility as Athletic Director is to ensure that student-athletes and coaches have everything they need to be successful both academically and athletically. I will encourage my coaches and athletes to value sports and teach opportunities for self-growth and development. I’ve been involved in sports my entire life as a player/coach, while participating in athletics and having ethical leadership from former coaches, has made me the successful educator and coach I am today. As a Servant Leader, my main purpose is to serve the student-athletes and coaches at my campus while allowing them to take the initiative in their programs as I'm there to help, guide and assist them along the way as needed.
I will ensure success in the Athletic department by hiring like-minded coaches who will always do what is best for students and uphold the tradition of success in our school. When we hold ourselves accountable for our actions as coaches, players will hold themselves accountable as well. As a coaches staff, we will prepare our student-athletes for life after school and athletics. The more we prepare, the better we’ll be as a whole.
