As Captain of our competitive club team (equivalent to Triple-A in terms of ability), I wanted to create a highlight video as our club hadn't had one in many years.
I largely self-taught myself how to use HitFilm Express and went through all of our game footage from the season to find appropriate clips and storyboard them in a way that highlighted our trend of coming back from behind.
This labor of love took about 40-50 hours, and I loved every minute of it. Currently I'm enrolled in an online course through UDemy to master video editing in Adobe Premier Pro.
Below are two mini projects I took on as Captain & Coach of San Diego's Men's Competitive Ultimate team.
On the left is our Roster Announcement celebrating the club's 20th Season made with Adobe Express. On the right are screenshots of our virtual playbook I made throughout the season. I'm currently creating a second virtual playbook for SDSU's team. If you'd like to take a look through the playbook, press the button below the Image Carousel!
From 2020-2022 I helped run San Diego's competitive Youth Ultimate Program!
This team provided an opportunity for teenagers to get of the house and play during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. I could tell that the kids were excited to play, and I wanted to feed their excitement
To the right is the highlight tape of them I made to assist in recruitment. It was a new skill and took quite a few attempts, troubleshooting, and skill building, but it opened my eyes to the world of Video Editing!
