Hey there! My name is Daniel, I am a 3rd year student at Breda University of Applied Sciences where I am studying Games, following the programming track. I've worked on various projects, both solo and in a team of varying sizes.
Games have been a part of my life from a very young age. At some point I decided that I would like to find out how games are actually made, specifically from a programming standpoint. How does writing a bunch of code produce this magical experience that players can enjoy?
Now, many years after I first asked my self this question, I found my passion in gameplay programming. For me creating an immersive and enjoyable player experience is above everything. Whenever I work on something, I try to make it so that players immediately get sucked in.
Whenever I work on any type of gameplay feature, I seek discussions with the design department. I think it is very important for a gameplay programmer to be involved in these conversations and actively try to come up with ideas so that they understand the feature they work on better.
As my studies draw closer to an end, I am excited to bring everything I've learned to the industry and contribute to projects made by passionate and creative developers!
