50/50 Lottery

There are 500 tickets available in total

Each household can have up to 5 tickets.  

The maximum you could win is £1250.00

The prize money will be 50% of the tickets sold. The remaining 50% goes to the meadow charity to help fund maintenance, repairs, and events. 

1. The amount to pay is £30 per number. That's for six months.  

2. Entry is £5 per month, so the £30 will cover six months' entry for one number that we allocate for the monthly draw.

3. Pay by either BACS, cheque, or cash. 

4. Complete and sign the membership form at the Bottom of this Page 

5. All participants must be over 16.

The draw will take place on the first Tuesday of each month & the winner will be announced on here by the following Thursday.  It will also be announced on our WhatsApp page.  You can join the page even if you don't partake in the 50/50 club.  At the top of this page there's a QR code to join or follow this link:   https://chat.whatsapp.com/IQ0gHB7OjsXDR90YmL0WnB?mode=ac_t

If you win, a ‘congratulations’ notice is posted to the winner’s address, and they can choose how to receive their winnings.   

If you want to buy a ticket for someone else (as long as they are over 16) then please email us with details. After payment, we can provide you with a gift certificate for the lucky recipient. 

Any entries received before the 1st of the nominated month (October) will be entered into the next prize draw for six months.

The Rules 

50/50 club rules

Purpose

The purpose of the 50/50 club is to raise funds. The money will be paid into the charity bank account and used to meet funding requests from the committee for maintenance, repairs, and events.

Rules

1.     For a cost of £5 per ticket per month (i.e., per draw), you will be allocated one number between 1 and 500.

2.     The draw will be made on the first Tuesday of every month and announced on the following Thursday 

3.     The prize will total 50% of the monthly income. There will be one prize winner 

4.     The 50/50 club is a small society lottery open to all residents of Danesmead Est and their neighbours/ family & friends. Anyone aged 16 or over can join.

5.     Tickets are limited to 500 per month. There is a restriction of 5 tickets per household 

6.     Any entries received before the 1st of the nominated start month will be entered into the next prize draw 

7.     After the first draw, members’ numbers will only be entered if their subscription is up to date. Unless otherwise advised, a member will be deemed to have left the 50/50 club if his/her subscription renewal remains unpaid after the renewal notice. 

8.     Each month, the draw shall be made by a committee member or the previous month's winner and witnessed by two other committee members or two estate residents 

9.     The 50/50 Club will be run by the charity trustees.  In case of any dispute, the decision of the charity committee is final 

10. The prize winner will be contacted using the contact details on the 50/50 club sign-up application within one week of the draw.  If you win, a congratulations letter will be posted to your home address, you can choose how to receive your winnings.

11.The name and number of the winner will be published on the Danesmead website https://sites.google.com/view/danesmeadcmo-org/home and on the Meadow WhatsApp Lottery group.

12.If a winner cannot be contacted, the winnings will be placed into the Charity funds after six months.
